About Kimberly Melton

I've spent more than 30 years at the intersection of donor intelligence and fundraising strategy. I have had the opportunity and privilege to work within some of New York City's most prestigious organizations.

The Metropolitan Opera, NYU, Yeshiva University, the Henry Luce Foundation, and CCS Fundraising have each been instrumental in strengthening both my experiential knowledge and my deeper understanding of giving.

What I learned in those years is that the data alone is never enough. The most important work happens when you understand not just what the numbers say, but what the people behind them actually care about.

I founded KSM Consultancy to work on both sides of that equation. With nonprofit leaders who need to find and cultivate the right donors. And with philanthropists and advisors who want their giving to reflect their values with the same rigor they bring to every other significant decision.

The work is always about clarity. And clarity, in my experience, changes everything.
